By integrating our experience with technology and our knowledge, we were able to develop procedures that allow us to design, plan and execute the most complex projects with minimal margin of error.
The stages of the project will proceed in the order presented below. Close communication with the owners must be maintained throughout the entire process to enable accurate execution of the owners’ expectations.
Design and Specifications. Our extensive building envelope experience with structures in British Columbia allows us to design the most effective and cost efficient solutions suitable for the needs of our clients. We will develop design, details, and specifications that will comply with or exceed BC Building code and municipal requirements.
Tendering. Tendering refers to the selection procedure used to determine the choice of general contractor. The general contractor is responsible for the construction process. Strata Engineering utilizes only certified contractors that provide a consistent, high quality end product. Our responsibilities under this section include, but are not limited to:
Field Reviews. Our field reviews are completed for the duration of the project in order to ensure compliance in the construction processes. Field reviews are co-ordinated between the consultant and contractors, documented accompanying photographic records and the results are continually communicated to our clients.
Contract Administration and Construction Oversight. Strata Engineering represents the client’s interests during the construction process. We diligently report to the client regarding the progress and quality of the work. We are dedicated to effectively communicating with our client and including them as part of the decision making process. Contract administrative requirements include, but are not limited to:
